Greedy couponers...

Since this post is not allowed at most couponing boards I figure I could sound off on my own blog. I HATE people who clear the shelves by buying bunches of the items that are cheap/free. Not only is it not fair , I think it is just mean. There are people out there who want to buy an item and can't get to the sale until later in the week, so why not leave a few for them. I have read on a few places on the web of people selling their items they get cheap. So they are profiting while those who need a few deals get nothing. Why does someone need 30 bayer meters?? or 30 body washes in one trip?? not for personal use, to profit off others. What is wrong with sharing??? We can all get in on a good deal and not ruin it for the next person. I am lucky enough to be able to get out early Sunday mornings and get in on some good deals but if I go back a few days later I notice the shelves are empty, and I feel bad for those who didn't get in on the deal. Don't be greedy!!

I might have to go back to CVS Saturday and get Charmin T.T. it is $9.99 with a $2 ECB, I have a $1 coupon. would make it cheap, not a MM, but cheap, and there is a GD on some storage hooks. I will have to think about this

peanut butter swirl banana bread.. the best banana bread ever!!!

Peanut Butter Swirl Banana Bread
Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Filling
4-oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup peanut butter (pref. crunchy)
1 large egg yolk
1/4 cup granulated sugar

Banana Bread
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1 cup mashed banana (about 2 large)
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs

Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
Make the cream cheese filling. In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese, peanut butter, egg yolk and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt and ground spices.
In a medium bowl, whisk together mashed banana, sugar, oil and eggs. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until just combined and no streaks of flour remain. Do not over mix.
Pour half of banana batter into prepared loaf pan. Spoon peanut butter mixture on top, spreading it into as even a layer as possible. Pour remaining banana batter on top, again spreading it into an even layer.
Bake for 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean (or with a few moist crumbs) and the top springs back when lightly pressed.
Turn loaf out of the pan onto a wire rack. Cool completely before slicing.

Makes 1 loaf.

limit is 2 get back $2 in ECB and I have $1 coupons.. so here is the math.
My total will be $38.34 - $4 coupon is $34.34 - $13 in manufacturers coupons= $21.34
give in $18 in ECB that will bring my grand total to $3.34 + tax.. a savings of $35 :)
I am thinking of buying some Biore. Dd uses this for a facial wash, it is $1 off and I have coupons for this.

I have a bunch of RR that expire the week after, I will be rolling my $2 RR to Skintimate shaving gel which is $3 use the RR for $2 and My oop is $1.08.. I am bring all my RR up to $3 for an upcoming sale on body wash. and I will also be buying Nature's Source cleaners.. buy 2 get $1 ECB that will be my day.

How to survive on $400 + less a month ..

When I began to hear about the economy and job problems, I really wasn't worried. Hubby's job was doing great, he was working lots of over time and we were doing good. He works in the oil/gas field, how can that be bad?? I should have ate my words. His job has slowed down to only regular time, at best, 2 wks ago he was asked to stay home. needless to say his pay check has gone way down. We were doing really good with his former pay checks.. paying bills, we got digital cable with Hd service, supporting his family in Honduras, buying things left and right that we needed , supporting Ds at college and more. Now I am trying to figure how to live on way less. Because of extra bills( doctor bills, and supporting hubby's family in Honduras) I feel so stressed. this is around $300 a month that we could be using. for clothes( dd needs spring/summer clothes and I am desperate right now for new clothing), we are trying to save up for a new car, and we need to repair the old one, summer is coming up and I was thinking of sending DD to camp( now that is off the table) . Luckily I do have a good stockpile of health and beauty aids,a nd lots of cleaning things, but you still need to spend on groceries.. plus pet needs.
The economy is supposed to turn around but when??

Good News Hubby's Diabetes and cholesterol are under control

after hubby finding out that he was Diabetic and had very high Cholesterol we have gotten the numbers back to normal. When hubby first went to the doctor about 8 months ago his sugar #'s were over 300 and Cholesterol was 299 . The doctor informed him his #'s are now a few digits away from being absolutely normal. He offered him the choice of no medicine and I think the next time he goes back he will be taken off the meds. What worked for hubby is that first of all he is not obese, he is maybe 10 lbs over his "normal" weight., hubby cut out soda( he would drink 3-5 bottles a day) , sugar has been wiped out and instead he uses honey and blue agave, and he cut out fried foods, pork rinds and donuts. Hubby feels much better and he promises he will never drink Soda again. Cheryl

Monday night.. Pasta Putanesca ( Italian pasta made with a anchovy tomato sauce)
Tuesday- Baked chicken, rice , and roasted asparagus
Wednesday I am hoping to make Samosa Stuffed baked potato.. with a salad on the side.

Friday.. some type of Black bean dish..

A good tip.. write to the companies asking for coupons...

I have written to 4 companies asking for coupons( most of these were not the popular brands) one was for be fine lotions, the other 3 was for organic/vegetarian /health food. I have received coupons from all of them. Today I got an envelope from Mystic Pizza( this is one of the best pizza's I have ever had that was frozen) with 5 coupons in it( 2 were for free pizza's). I can't wait to get this pizza.. their fire roasted vegetables are great!!
Lesson learned don't be afraid to ask for things, the companies love it when you want to try their products and spread the word.
